This is a wonderful piece about food, heritage and ambivalence. Read it. I can relate, I think, in parts. But also – I am a true globalist, I am happy eating any sort of food, any time of day, I am not allergic to anything and like almost everything.

That loving and unproblematic relationship to foods is one of the biggest blessings in my life.

I don’t think I will fundamentally change as a person if I stop eating the lamb that my cousin so skillfully is raising on a family farm where he is the fourth generation. I would miss doing it, I enjoy it, I love that the tradition continues – but would it really change me if I decided to from now on only eat the amazing fruit and vegetables they also produce there?

No.

But nevertheless. Read that piece, it’s great.
