Being rooted in the idea of multilateral cooperation and international exchange does not, I repeat not, stop you from being proud of where you come from. It does not take away your need to belong, to have roots.
The miracle of internationalism is that it allows both: global cooperation AND a local home of your choice.
Nationalism only gives you the latter, if that. It limits you from expanding yourself and your world, and it limits others to contribute to it.
